Whether you're racing or simply cruising, your lifejacket is your most critical piece of safety equipment on the water. 

Over time, exposure to salt water, UV rays, and general wear can compromise components like inflation mechanisms, CO2 cylinders, and fabric integrity.

 

Regular servicing ensures it will perform exactly as it should, at the moment you need it most. 

 

Proper servicing identifies potential issues before they become failures, giving you complete confidence that your lifejacket is ready to protect you. 

A well-maintained lifejacket can perform properly for years, making servicing an investment in your safety.

How Often Should You Service Your Lifejacket?

We recommend customers have their TeamO lifejacket professionally serviced every 12 months. 

A Service will ensure safety checks are carried out on key elements of the lifejacket to ensure it will perform properly if required.

Where Can I Get My Lifejacket Serviced?

Title

A Service can be carried out by TeamO Marine at our ISO approved facility in Southampton or by any certified Service Centre. 

Please contact us if you are outside of the UK and we can advise the nearest Service Centre to your location. 

How Does TeamO Lifejacket Servicing Work?

Title

For Service Checks undertaken at TeamO Marine, you'll need to send your lifejacket to us by courier or tracked delivery.  

Please ensure the lifejacket is sent clean and dry, with your name, order number, return address and email stated inside the package.

 

All lifejacket servicing is completed by our trained professionals. Checks carried out include:

 

- 24 hour inflation test and pressure check

- Firing Head and Capsule Checks

- CO2 Cylinder Inspection

- Light Check

- Wear and Tear Assessment

 

If all checks are passed a certificate is issued to you together with your lifejacket which is valid for 12 months from date of Service. 

Your lifejacket will be returned to you by tracked courier service, which is included in the priceService. 

You should update your Service Record on the back of the User Manual and keep a copy of the Service Certificate somewhere safe.

What If My Lifejacket Doesn't Pass The Service?

Title

If any part of your lifejacket does not pass Service Checks we will contact you to advise replacement part prices. 

For older lifejackets that we no longer produce, we may advise complete replacement with a new model.
