TeamO Marine, the company which is disrupting the lifejacket and harness market with its revolutionary BackTow design is delighted to be attending the Southampton Boat Show this year, partnering with some of key stockists (Force 4, Andark and TCS) to bring the BackTow lifejacket and deck harness to the show for the first time.
BackTow designer and company co-founder Oscar Mead, and representatives from TeamO Marine, will be at the show every day on the Andark stand to demonstrate how BackTow Technology works and why this technological innovation is a life saver were you ever to actually need your tether to save your life.
The TeamO BackTow lifejacket was released in May 2017 after four years of development and testing, to address the growing concerns of the sailing community about the danger of going overboard whilst still tethered to a vessel. Existing lifejacket designs will tow the wearer face down in this situation, posing grave danger to life and making rescue difficult if the vessel is moving at any speed. The TeamO BackTow lifejacket solves these issues by rotating the user into a BackTow face-up position once the lifejacket has inflated and the large BackTow handle has been pulled.
Initial market reaction has been incredibly positive and TeamO BackTow lifejackets can now be found in twenty chandleries in the UK and is already distributed in five countries in Europe and Asia.TeamO has further marine safety products in the works, come and meet the company and the designer at SOUTHAMPTON BOAT SHOW
